Automation and Workflows Specialist (Temporary) at Christensen Group Inc – Eden Prairie, Minnesota

We’re looking for a technical no-code / low-code builder to help accelerate strategic initiatives and reduce delivery bottlenecks. This role focuses on building and maintaining automations, internal tools, and workflows, with a strong emphasis on Retool.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take direction, work autonomously, and improve systems—not wait around for tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and extend internal tools in Retool
• Design and maintain automations using Make & Airtable
• Structure and manage data in Airtable
• Integrate systems using APIs and webhooks
• Support and improve existing workflows and automations
• Assist with service requests while helping accelerate major initiatives
• Contribute to cleaner, more scalable internal systems

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• At least 4 years of experience with hands-on automation experience
• Strong experience with Retool (or very close equivalent)
• Hands-on automation experience (Make and Airtable)
• Solid Airtable experience (data modeling, relationships)
• Comfortable working with APIs, JSON, webhooks
• Technical mindset (development background a big plus)
• Able to work independently and move work forward without hand-holding
• On-site availability in Eden Prairie
• Self-directed and proactive
• Comfortable with ambiguity and iteration
• Thinks in terms of improving systems, not just completing tasks
• Communicates clearly and flags issues early
• Enjoys building real, production-ready tools

Preferred Experience & Education:

• Webflow experience
• Light backend experience (data flows, integrations)
• SQL or basic JavaScript familiarity
• Experience supporting internal business teams (ops, sales, service)
