Urban Rec Victoria is hiring a Sports Program Coordinator to help deliver fun, inclusive, and community-driven recreational sport experiences across the city.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys sports, leadership, and creating great experiences for others — with opportunities to work with a variety of leagues and events.

What You’ll Do

🏐 Program Delivery & Leadership

Facilitate and oversee adult coed leaguesCreate a safe, inclusive, and fun-first environment for all participants Act as the main on-site contact — welcoming players, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly Support and mentor volunteers and part-time staff 🏟️ Event Operations & Coordination

Help setup and takedown of equipment, courts, and fields Ensure all venues are organized, safe, and game-ready Monitor equipment and supplies (including first aid kits) Provide basic first aid support when needed 📊 Reporting & Administration

Complete end-of-day reports (scores, incidents, equipment status) Support basic program tracking and documentation Stay organized and communicate updates with the team 📱 Community Engagement & Promotion

Support social media and digital engagement efforts Help promote programs and highlight the Urban Rec community Build positive connections with participants across all programs What We’re Looking For

Passion for sports, recreation, and community building Strong leadership and communication skills Comfortable working evenings and weekends Organized, reliable, and able to take initiative Experience in recreation, coaching, or event coordination is an asset Why Join Urban Rec?
