Job Summary:
We are seeking a SoftwareDeveloper II to design, build, and maintain applications that automate andenhance engineering workflows for industrial clients in oil & gas,chemical, specialty chemical, and related industries. This role will workacross commercial software platforms, databases, business intelligence tools,and custom applications to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability inproject execution. The developer will balance client‑specific and project‑drivensoftware needs while contributing to the development of a multi‑year strategicapplication that supports our long‑term automation vision. Successfulcandidates will collaborate closely with engineering and project teams totranslate real‑world engineering challenges into robust, maintainable softwaresolutions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain front‑end andback‑end software components for internal tools and client‑facingSaaS applications.
• Maintain and enhance databases, datapipelines, and automated workflows supporting engineering and industrialautomation projects.
• Implement and integrate multiple softwaresystems and data sources within client cloud, on‑premise,and hybrid environments.
• Develop and customize business intelligencedashboards and reports to present client KPIs, metrics, and operationalinsights.
• Collaborate with automation engineers andproject teams to translate engineering requirements into scalable softwaresolutions.
• Design systemarchitecture, data flow diagrams, and integration definition with systemanalysis and design principles.
• Support application deployment, monitoring,and reliability using standard DevOps and software engineering practices.
• Contribute to the development of a multi‑tenantSaaS platform aligned with a long‑term product roadmap.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, data,and integration issues while balancing client‑specificand reusable solutions.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• 2-5 years of professional software developmentexperience in an enterprise, SaaS, or industrial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals and experiencewith Vibe coding in Python, C#, and other languages.
• Experience with both front‑end andback‑end development of data‑driven applications.
• Strong understanding of databases, SQL, anddata pipeline concepts.
• Experience integrating multiple systems,applications, or APIs.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools,dashboards, and KPI reporting.
• Exposure to oil & gas, engineering, orindustrial data environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of DevOps fundamentals, includingdeployments, environment management, and monitoring.
Working Conditions:
• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations.
• Field duties require outdoor work in aconstruction site or in plant type atmosphere.
• Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel.
• Working on a construction site or in plantand/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
Physical Requirements (With or without ReasonableAccommodation):
• Must be able to lift and carry five (20) pounds.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing orother communication capabilities which permit employees to communicateeffectively.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observationwhich permit employees to conduct analysis and investigations.
• Sufficient manual dexterity which permits theemployee to perform routine office duties.
• Sufficient personal mobility and physicalreflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-sitelocations.
