Position Overview
The Gas Plumbing Apprentice assists with the installation of gas piping systems for residential home standby generator systems (Kohler and Generac). This role focuses on developing skills in gas line installation, fuel systems, and mechanical processes under the supervision of experienced technicians.

• Assist with installation of natural gas and propane piping systems for generator installations
• Support site assessments to determine routing and installation requirements
• Assist with cutting, threading, and assembling gas piping
• Participate in pressure testing and inspection of gas lines
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety regulations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness
• Work alongside installers during inspections and AHJ coordination
• Document installation details and work performed

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical processes
• Experience or exposure to plumbing, gas piping, or construction preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and learn specialized equipment
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must meet company insurance requirements to operate company vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• OSHA certifications are a plus
• Experience with gas pipe fitting or fuel systems is strongly preferred
