This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business strategy, focusing on building the data foundation that powers monetization and advertising decisions. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and trusted datasets that enable accurate measurement of business performance. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will transform complex data into accessible, reliable insights that drive revenue strategy and product optimization. The position requires a strong balance of technical expertise and business understanding, with an emphasis on defining KPIs and ensuring data consistency across teams. You will also champion data quality, self-service analytics, and data literacy across the organization. This is a highly collaborative role in a fast-paced environment where your work directly influences monetization strategy and company growth.
- Own and maintain data pipelines, reporting systems, and dashboards to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely access to monetization and ads-related metrics.
- Design, build, and optimize datasets that serve as the single source of truth for key business and product KPIs.
- Partner with product, data science, finance, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to define, track, and evolve monetization metrics.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ensure data freshness, integrity, and scalability across systems.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing monitoring, alerting, and governance practices.
- Establish SLAs for data availability and communicate performance against them to stakeholders.
- Drive self-service analytics by building documentation, dashboards, training materials, and enabling broader data literacy across the organization.
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar data-focused role.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization across multiple dialects.
- Strong experience working in monetization, ads, or revenue-focused data environments.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data stack tools.
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker or similar data visualization platforms.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical datasets into clear business insights and narratives.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and delivering end-to-end data projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interest in emerging technologies and AI-driven analytics workflows.
- Competitive salary ranging from $167,000 to $249,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation based on experience
