Job Summary:
The Production Team Lead is responsible for setting and achieving daily production goals while efficiently supervising and training shift members through scheduling production plans. The 2nd Shift Production Team Lead is responsible for leading production activities, ensuring that daily goals are met efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with company standards. This role supervises and trains production staff, coordinates shift operations, ensures adherence to safety and food quality protocols, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. The Production Team Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain operational excellence in their designated area.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure efficient Distribution Operations and adherence to policies, procedures, and process excellence.
• Responsible for all major compliance systems (Procurement, Production, Scheduling, Quality and Distribution).
• Aides in ensuring Environmental Health and Safety excellence through Compliance with all Safety.
• Responsible for Talent management including selection, termination, performance reviews and professional development of direct reports.
• Ensure appropriate Staffing levels to meet service, financial and operational support demands.
• Manage carrier services and dedicated delivery processes.
• Effectively utilize training programs to develop operations expertise within the facility.
• Act as liaison to functional Leadership to ensure problem resolution in the production area.
• Achieves cost control through productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of facility space and proper protection of stored materials.
• Responsible for inventory planning with emphasis on increasing efficiency.
• Responsible for reviewing and reporting payroll hours for different shifts.
• Committed to maintain excellent Food Safety Culture within the organization.
• Work in hand with QA/QC Department to ensure the product quality before leaving the production facility.
• Provide constructive feedback to the team’s work through conducting performance reviews to the production and supervisors employees.
• Implemented state of the art SOP, GMP, equipment and training procedure.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Forklift, Bendi, and pallet mover certification. (preferred)
Requirements:
• Experience analyzing company needs, employee development and goal setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
• Extensive knowledge of management strategies and practical application in the workplace.
• Leadership skills and team building.
• Comprehensive understanding of GMP, Safety and OSHA standards.
