We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Aircraft A&P Lead Mechanic / Major Project Lead, at our Stuart, FL location. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager / Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (FAA Certificate required).
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
  • FAA FCC License preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and inspections as part of a small, collaborative maintenance team, working closely with fellow technicians to support safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft operations. All maintenance must be performed in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, approved maintenance programs (including AAIP where applicable), manufacturer maintenance manuals, and company policies, under minimal supervision, reporting to the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.

Coordinate with management to support daily maintenance planning and workload distribution. Provide oversight and inspection, as authorized, to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and required documentation using the Corridor maintenance tracking system. Ensure all maintenance actions, inspections, logbook entries, and required signoffs are properly completed prior to return to service.

Follow standard operating procedures and manufacturer maintenance manual specifications when utilizing aircraft maintenance tools and equipment, including but not limited to electrical and hydraulic power units, aircraft jacks, pressurization carts, calibrated tools, and ground support equipment. Properly care for and maintain all maintenance tools, equipment, and facilities.

Maintain familiarity with and adhere to company maintenance manuals, general maintenance procedures, and any referenced forms or supplements required for operations at the Stuart location.

Remain current with revisions to technical data applicable to assigned aircraft, including manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, parts specifications, and FAA-approved data.

Ensure proper handling, preservation, identification, and storage of all aircraft parts and components during maintenance and installation. Verify that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed on any aircraft prior to return to service.

Comply with all company safety policies and housekeeping standards. Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure aircraft interiors and exteriors are properly protected during maintenance activities. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to meet FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
  • Proficient in the use of standard aircraft maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Physically capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in confined spaces, performing close-tolerance work, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working at heights (including ladders and maintenance stands).
  • Must be computer literate; experience with the Corridor Maintenance Program and Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook) is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid FAA A&P certificate with substantial corporate/business aviation maintenance experience.
  • Ability and willingness to perform aircraft engine runs and taxi operations in accordance with company procedures (as authorized).
  • Capable of providing technical guidance and informal mentorship to fellow technicians on inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
  • Must be eligible to participate in an FAA-mandated drug and alcohol testing program and pass applicable background screenings.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, safety-focused, and committed to producing high-quality maintenance work in a professional environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, goal-driven attitude required.
