ABOUT THE ROLE

The Forklift Operator/Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets, and equipment safely and securely. Ensures inventory records are accurate and that employees follow all safety guidelines and procedures throughout the warehouse.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Maneuver forklifts safely in a warehouse environment.
Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
Moving material/equipment to loading areas
Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages

WHO YOU ARE

Forklift Driving Experience strongly preferred; Licensed forklift drivers preferred
Ability to work well in a team with other staff to coordinate the movement of materials/equipment.
Ability to multitask with attention to detail
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent required
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite preferred but required.
Reasoning and Development: Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables and excellent grasp of process management.
Mathematical Development: Ability to add, subtract, and divide all units of measure. Ability to compute percentages, interest, profit and loss; basic statistics, ability to read and use graphs/charts and general algebra.

The physical requirements are those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

The physical demands of this position require the ability to communicate orally and in writing, hear at a conversational level, use both hands, distinguish depth, and operate a motor vehicle.
Employees must be able to lift, bend, stoop, stand and sit/stand on the forklift equipment. Heavy lifting (requirement to lift to 80-100 pounds on a continuous basis,).
