Student Intern Clinical at Morris Hospital – MORRIS, Illinois

• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

  • The Medical Assistant Intern is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures.

• QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional/Educational

  • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

  • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Certified Medical Assistant required

• Personal

  • Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.

  • Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.

  • Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.

  • Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.

  • Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.

  • Ability to use the proper channels of communication.
