Position Overview:
The Team Leader provides direct, hands-on leadership for a designated production line, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, efficiency, and team engagement. This role is ideal for a strong frontline leader who leads from the floor, makes confident decisions, communicates effectively, and models the behaviors that define the Weaver Culture.
You will serve as the driving force behind daily execution, aligning people, processes, and performance to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a Safety-First Culture- Model and enforce all safety standards, SOPs, and safe work practices
- Identify risks proactively, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, organized production environment throughout the shift
- Verify sanitation standards are achieved before shift close
- Hold team members accountable to safety expectations and escalate unresolved concerns to EH&S leadership to help achieve zero OSHA recordables
- Ensure full compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements
- Confirm sanitation completion and startup documentation prior to beginning production
- Lead investigations and corrective actions for quality events using Safety Chain
- Conduct routine line audits and verify documentation accuracy
- Reinforce monthly quality training to strengthen team understanding and compliance
- Prepare for each shift by confirming staffing, materials, and equipment readiness
- Monitor OEE, downtime, scrap, and efficiency metrics to make real-time adjustments
- Ensure accurate downtime entry in LEDS and completion of End-of-Shift reporting
- Clearly document performance issues, root causes, and corrective actions
- Coach and support team members and Line Leads through consistent feedback and recognition
- Lead structured pre-shift meetings focused on safety, quality, and production priorities
- Promote cross-training and skill development to build team capability
- Monitor attendance, manage performance concerns, and foster engagement aligned with Weaver values
- Partner with Maintenance, Sanitation, and Quality teams to resolve operational challenges efficiently
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, WME efforts, and operational projects
- Communicate clearly across shifts to ensure smooth transitions and consistent execution
- Utilize AS400 for production scheduling, inventory management, BOM review, scrap reporting, and reconciliation
- Prepare detailed downtime summaries outlining issues, actions taken, and accountability
- Leverage Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, LEDS, Safety Chain, and other Windows-based systems for daily reporting and communication
- Act as backup to the Department Manager when needed
- Support conflict resolution efforts to maintain a professional and accountable work environment
- Apply structured problem-solving tools to address line-level losses (scrap, downtime, waste)
- Maintain and update team skill matrices to reflect current capabilities
