DoubleTree Hotel MDR Marina Del Rey - Food & Beverage Supervisor
Additional Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year bartending experience required in a hotel, restaurant, or high-volume bar environment.
Additional Job Functions:
Oversee and actively participate in banquet room set up and breakdown according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO), including but not limited to table configurations, linen placement, audio/visual coordination, buffet set up, bar set up, and proper equipment staging.

Ensure banquet spaces are set accurately and completely in accordance with BEO specifications, including timing, menu execution, service style, room diagrams, and special guest requests.

Supervise and assist with banquet food and beverage service, ensuring service standards, presentation quality, and guest satisfaction are maintained throughout the event.

Coordinate with culinary, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of all banquet and group events.

Attend weekly BEO meetings and event planning meetings; review upcoming events to ensure operational readiness, staffing alignment, and inventory needs.

Review, interpret, and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with accuracy and attention to detail.

Monitor banquet labor productivity and assist in staffing according to event size and service requirements.

Ensure proper breakdown, storage, and resetting of banquet spaces following events.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality is a plus.
  • At least one year of progressive experience in hotels or related fields, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Demonstrated initiative and effective listening, understanding, and clarification abilities.
  • Competence in interpreting financial data and performing basic arithmetic.
