This role sits at the intersection of clinical expertise, technical product support, and customer success within the medical diagnostics space. You will act as the primary clinical and technical partner for healthcare providers adopting advanced ophthalmic diagnostic technologies. The position focuses on ensuring seamless installation, training, and long-term utilization of specialized equipment used to support vision care and patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and commercial teams to drive adoption and maximize clinical value. This is a field-based role with significant travel and direct customer engagement across healthcare environments. It is highly impactful, as your work directly contributes to improving diagnostic accuracy and patient care delivery.

Accountabilities

You will support the full customer lifecycle by delivering hands-on clinical training, technical guidance, and ongoing account support to ensure successful adoption and utilization of diagnostic solutions. You will also collaborate with sales and internal teams to strengthen customer relationships and drive product performance in clinical settings.

  • Deliver on-site and remote training sessions for new and existing clinical customers
  • Provide clinical and technical consultation to ensure effective product usage
  • Install, operate, and support diagnostic instruments and related peripheral devices
  • Act as a liaison between healthcare customers and internal technical or commercial teams
  • Support sales initiatives by contributing to product adoption and customer engagement
  • Manage customer scheduling, inquiries, and issue resolution independently
  • Track and report customer utilization trends and implementation progress to leadership
  • Support conferences, trade shows, and educational events as needed
Requirements

This role requires strong clinical application experience combined with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical guidance for healthcare professionals. You should be comfortable working independently in the field and engaging with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting diagnostic or clinical technology in eye care or healthcare settings
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to train diverse audiences
  • Experience in clinical applications, field support, or medical device education preferred
  • Ability to explain technical systems in a clear and accessible way
  • Basic proficiency with CRM systems and standard business tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage travel schedules and customer appointments
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory
  • Experience training healthcare professionals on diagnostic or medical equipment is a plus
