This role is designed for a data leader who will drive strategic initiatives across architecture, engineering, and governance, with a strong focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems. Accountabilities

You will lead the data team and drive initiatives across data architecture, engineering, and governance, ensuring alignment between technology and business priorities. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring the data team while managing delivery across architecture, engineering, and governance initiatives
  • Evolving and maintaining scalable data architectures (Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse), ensuring performance, security, and reliability
  • Defining standards, best practices, and processes for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption
  • Overseeing the development and optimization of batch and real-time data pipelines
  • Ensuring data integrity, quality, traceability, and compliance across all systems
  • Planning and delivering strategic data projects in alignment with business goals
  • Supporting cloud and hybrid data platform evolution and modernization initiatives
  • Translating business needs into data-driven solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Implementing and strengthening data governance, security, and compliance practices
  • Managing team performance metrics, delivery capacity, and backlog prioritization
Requirements

You should bring strong technical expertise in data engineering combined with leadership capabilities and a strategic mindset. The role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
  • Solid experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Control-M or similar)
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, QuickSight, or similar
  • Intermediate to advanced English skills
  • Experience designing or working with Data Lake, Lakehouse (e.g., Delta Lake), and Data Warehouse architectures is a strong plus
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (Jenkins, Datadog or similar) is a plus
  • Background in digital transformation and data-driven culture initiatives is highly valued
