The position is responsible for building and applying robust analytical frameworks to interpret complex multi-omics datasets and support biomarker-driven research strategies. It plays a key role in shaping how high-dimensional biological data informs target identification, validation, and clinical decision-making. The role requires close collaboration with global research, clinical, IT, and biomarker teams to ensure data-driven innovation across programs. It also involves developing scalable bioinformatics infrastructure and tools that support reproducible, high-quality analysis. This is a highly impactful position for a scientific leader passionate about oncology, immunology, and advancing precision medicine through data science.
- Serve as the lead bioinformatics expert supporting drug discovery and translational research programs, including target identification, validation, and clinical biomarker analysis.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable bioinformatics workflows and tools for multi-omics data analysis, including RNA-seq, single-cell sequencing, whole-exome sequencing, and proteomics.
- Lead the generation, integration, and interpretation of high-dimensional biological data to drive actionable insights for oncology and immunology programs.
- Collaborate with IT teams to build and maintain robust bioinformatics computing infrastructure, including cloud and high-performance computing environments.
- Define and execute omics data analysis strategies, supporting experimental design, biomarker development, and cross-functional validation efforts.
- Partner with global research, clinical, and biomarker teams to ensure high-quality scientific outputs and proper documentation of analyses.
- Present analytical findings clearly to scientific and cross-functional stakeholders using effective visualization and communication tools.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to bioinformatics scientists, fostering scientific rigor, innovation, and technical excellence.
Requirements:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field with at least 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong expertise in multi-omics data analysis, including transcriptomics, genomics, proteomics, and spatial or single-cell technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R and at least one additional language (Python, Perl, or Java).
- Strong experience working in Linux environments and cloud or high-performance computing systems.
- Hands-on experience with bioinformatics pipelines and reproducible research tools (e.g., Git, Conda, Snakemake, Nextflow).
- Strong background in oncology, immunology, or related therapeutic areas with experience in biomarker-driven drug development.
- Solid foundation in statistics and data science; machine learning experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills in matrixed environments.
- Strong publication record and demonstrated scientific impact in relevant fields.
