Founded in 1969, Summit Point Motorsports Park is a premier motorsports destination in the Mid-Atlantic, offering a high-energy environment where performance driving, racing, and automotive culture come together. Spanning 786 acres, the facility features multiple road racing circuits that support a wide range of motorsports disciplines and experiences.
Our Janitorial staff plays a critical role in ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and fully event-ready before, during, and after motorsports events.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Janitorial staff members support the cleanliness and presentation of the entire Summit Point Motorsports Park, with a primary focus on restroom cleaning, restocking, and high-traffic event support during live motorsports weekends. This is a structured, routine-based role in a fast-paced outdoor event environment. Employees will follow a set cleaning route throughout the facility to ensure all restrooms are consistently maintained, stocked, and inspected throughout the day. Consistency, attention to detail, and reliability are essential.
This role also requires the ability to respond quickly to operational needs as they arise during live events, including restroom issues, restocking needs, and cleanliness concerns in high-traffic areas. Priorities may shift throughout the day based on event demands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms across the facility throughout the day in a live motorsports event environment
- Restocking restroom supplies (paper products, soap, etc.) to ensure continuous availability for guests during high-traffic periods
- Following a structured cleaning route while also adjusting as needed based on event activity, guest volume, and urgent cleaning needs
- Responding to restroom issues and maintenance needs as they arise during events, including spills, high-use situations, and supply shortages
- Communicating professionally with guests, including informing them when restrooms are temporarily closed for cleaning
- Supporting high-volume event days with frequent restroom turnover and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout operating hours
- Removing trash from receptacles across the property and disposing of it appropriately during scheduled rounds and as needed
- Performing a final full restroom cleaning and restocking at the end of each shift across all assigned areas
- Working as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards during live motorsports events
- Other duties as assigned by management
SCHEDULE
This posting includes two seasonal schedule options supporting Motorsports from March through November.
Full Weekend + Extended Coverage Role:
- Friday: 10-hour shift
- Saturday: 12-hour shift
- Sunday: 12-hour shift
- Monday: 6-hour shift
Weekend Event Support Role:
- Saturday: 12-hour shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Sunday: 12-hour shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
All shifts are based on active event schedules and require flexibility during peak operational periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is physically demanding and takes place primarily outdoors in a live Motorsports environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat during the summer months, and in high-traffic public settings during events.
Requirements:REQUIRED:
- Strong communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management
- Professional, respectful demeanor when interacting with guests, including in high-traffic and high-stress event situations
- Ability to safely work around moving vehicles, live motorsports activity, and large crowds in an active event environment
- Ability to follow a structured cleaning route while also responding to urgent restroom cleaning needs as they arise throughout the day
- Willingness and ability to perform continuous restroom cleaning in heavily used, high-traffic facilities during live events
- Comfort working in physically demanding conditions, including repetitive cleaning tasks, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in heat, humidity, and variable weather conditions
- Ability to work in environments where restrooms require frequent cleaning and restocking due to heavy public use during events
- Dependability, strong work ethic, and willingness to work full 12-hour weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM)
- Ability to maintain focus and consistency in a fast-paced environment with repetitive and routine cleaning duties
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and pass background and drug screening
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
This position is very active and requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, use of hands, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 100 pounds.
