About This Position
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Mental Health Worker I is responsible for providing basic patient care, assisting the psychiatric patient to function more effectively within her/his abilities through individual and group processes and provides a safe environment for psychiatric patients, visitors and employees. The Mental Health Worker I practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Policies and Procedure of the BHS Department, the Community Healthcare System (CHS) policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of CHS.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/BLS certified within the first 30 days of employment
- Must complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training and certification within first 30 days of employment
