About This Position
Anchor Packaging is excited to begin manufacturing in our newly renovated Jonesboro plant. As a high quality supplier of packaging products for the foodservice industry, our products are used by name brand restaurants, deli's, groceries and food processors across the country. Now in our 51st year of stable continuous growth, we will soon be installing new thermoforming equipment and starting production. All we need is you!
We are now hiring talented line operators to fill several Thermo Team Tech positions. If you are currently a machine operator looking to join our team, you should possess the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Career Readiness Certificate is also required. Minimum of one (1) year forklift and warehouse/manufacturing experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience. Forklift certification required. Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Incumbent needs a basic understanding of computers and printers.

Climbing to blenders and hoppers. Adjusting dies, chrome rolls and trim presses. Performing changeovers. Working with maintaining feed system flow. Relieving packers for breaks. Preventive Maintenance to be performed on forklifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Follow all safety policies and safe work practices.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping, workplace organization and machine cleanliness.
- Follow all regulatory GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) for food contact product.
- Working knowledge of HMI touchscreen controls, computers and label printers.
- Prepare raw material blends and ensure continuous line supply.
- Operate resin feed systems, extruders, thermoformers and trim presses.
- Use tapes, scales, calipers, micrometers and other measurement devices to perform routine quality checks.
- Enter data into Zontec Quality System computer to assure product is within specification.
- Ensure labels match product, work orders, and pallet license plate numbers.
- Complete paperwork, calculations and reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain good communication between team members and supervisors.
- Grind daily scrap and recycle back in the manufacturing process.
- Use forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials to the production area and finished goods to warehouse staging locations.
- Assist in performing tool changeovers and process setup.
- Assist in performing routine preventative maintenance and other repairs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
