This position has renewable, three-year contracts. Our new colleague will teach introductory chemistry lecture and laboratory courses, with opportunities to teach other courses in a range of sub-disciplines. We seek candidates whose teaching, research, and/or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to engagement and inclusion of our entire student body.

The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University’s mission and values.Duties and Responsibilities:Teaching introductory undergraduate chemistry lecture and laboratory courses for students from a broad range of majors is expected, with additional opportunities at the graduate level based on department needs. Collaboration with colleagues, especially when teaching multi-section courses, is common and encouraged. Service contributions at the level of Department, College, and/or University are expected as a key component of this position.Minimum Qualifications:A Ph.D. or a postdoc in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field and evidence of teaching effectiveness are required.Preferred Qualifications:Significant teaching experience at the postsecondary level. Examples of course development and/or the implementation of modern pedagogical methods are valued.
