Thrive Pet Healthcare is excited to add a Legal Assistant to our growing team!
Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for working under the direction of the Legal Operations Manager to provide day-to-day administrative support to the legal department. This role is essential to creating and maintaining organization and efficiency throughout the Legal Department.
Responsibilities:
Leading with Your Head
Understanding business, solving problems, and making decisions through inclusive contributions of others
- Draft legal documents from form templates
- Maintain litigation calendar, track court dates/deadlines
- Assist with coordination and organization of information for discovery responses and other legal requests
- Contacting administrative agency and court personnel to obtain procedural information
- Coordinate scheduling of meetings
- Assist with maintaining and organizing digital files
- Assist in managing shared email inboxes by reviewing, responding to, organizing, tracking and appropriately escalating messages
- Assist with gathering and organizing information for personnel files in response to subpoenas
- Coordinate the collection of required signatures on legal and administrative documents, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Prepare, package, and send outgoing mail, including tracking and confirming receipt, when necessary
- Prepare and submit check request for payments, as needed
- Prepare accurate and complete meeting notes, either directly or distilling key information from meeting transcripts
- Utilize legal and business technology to maximize efficiency in daily tasks
- Collaborate with Legal Operations Manager and other department leaders to assist in implementing of legal and business technical applications
- Other related tasks as necessary

Key Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong grammatical skills, demonstrated through the creation of work product and accurate and thorough proofreading of the work product of others
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to leverage technology to organize information
- Ability to handle private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately, acting with integrity and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
