Summary The Project Accountant will work with the Senior Project Accountants and Project Managers to oversee the accounting and compliance requirements for a portfolio of projects. This position requires strong communication skills working with CWC staff at all levels.
Responsibilities Manage subcontractor billings and compliance for projects within Oracle Textura portal Compile required documentation and ensure accuracy of owner requisitions Oversee financial risk management for projects to ensure compliance with subcontractor default insurance requirements Assist project managers in tracking all costs associated with current projects and assist in completion of project budget reports Review certified payroll reports for regulatory compliance Run project financial reports for field staff and assist with understanding of reports Use latest technology and software to complete projects as assigned Other duties / special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field At least one (1) of experience in project accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience working on construction-related accounting concepts including over/under billings, cashflow, forecast to complete, and revenue recognition 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically, Outlook, Excel, and Teams 1 + years of experience in Accounting Software; Sage Timberline, and Oracle Textura experience preferred
Wage TransparencyIn accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $95,000.Coakley & Williams Construction offers a comprehensive total compensation and benefits package that includes health, dental and vision coverage, employer-matched 401(k), paid time off and holidays, performance-based bonuses, wellness program, and other voluntary benefits and leave types. The determination of salary is based on the candidate’s individual professional experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.
