Overview

The Supervisor, Pharmacy Support is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy support team within a Free Market Health. This role ensures efficient and accurate processing of pharmacy transactions, compliance with regulations, and exceptional service delivery. The supervisor manages pharmacy support staff, drives performance improvements, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance workflows and patient experience.

Core Job Responsibilities

The core job responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise daily pharmacy operations and support team members, including scheduling, performance management, and coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline pharmacy service workflows.
  • Monitor productivity and quality metrics, creating reports and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex pharmacy issues and patient concerns.
  • Handle any escalated issues to specialized teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture aligned with company values.

Background Requirements

The essential skills, education and experience include:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of pharmacy services or healthcare operations experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in a healthcare technology environment
  • Familiarity with pharmacy benefit management (PBM) systems Experience working with multiple systems with flexibility and the ability to multitask

Physical Requirements

Pittsburgh Location- 3-5 days in office. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday required
