MRI Tech [Imaging] [PRN] [Includes Saturdays] at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic PA – Pinehurst, North Carolina

This position is PRN- mostly Saturday’s but some during the week if needed.

SUMMARY
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) works under general supervision to perform diagnostic procedures for patients using an MRI Machine. Responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies. Ensures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aspectic injection technique, etc.
2. Produces high quality diagnostic images.
3. Orders supplies and cleans the workspace.
4. Effectively communicates with customers, doctors, and/or other staff members.
5. Trains new MRI Techs and/or support staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Graduation from a Certified Radiologic Technology program
2. Current certification ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT
3. Current BLS certification

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES

1. Ability to be exposed to minimal radiation
2. Ability to stand/walk for up to eight or more hours/day
3. Ability to bend, stoop, twist
4. Assist patients in turning
5. Assist patient in arising from exam table
6. Push wheelchair patients
7. Assist patient in rising from and returning to wheelchair
