Seed House Operator at Central Prairie Co-op – Nickerson, Kansas

Responsible for performing activities pertaining to receiving, shipping and storing seed wheat. Performs functions at the branch that may include maintenance of equipment, operation of forklifts, loaders, operating tender trucks, filling, loading, and delivering products, loading customers’ vehicles with product, unloading of deliveries and other duties as required. This position requires a class A CDL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, clean, store, and maintain quality seed wheat
• Operate forklifts, loaders, tender trucks, and other equipment
• Load and unload customer and delivery vehicles
• Deliver products to customers as needed
• Maintain inventory, equipment, and a clean work area
• Follow all safety policies and regulations
• Assist other departments during peak seasons

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Class A CDL (or ability to obtain) required
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work extended hours as needed
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills

• Outdoor and warehouse setting
• Exposure to weather, dust, noise, and agricultural chemicals
