Data Integration Specialist at BG Products Inc. – Wichita, Kansas

Job Purpose

The Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for the setup, support, and maintenance of SmartVMA software customer data integrations. Provides Technical Assistance to end users and Reseller (Distributor) representatives. Answers questions or resolve issues for clients in person, via telephone or help desk system. This role will also serve the Software Support Specialists as a back-up telephone software support specialist.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.

• Interact with end users, vendors, and other participants to ensure the efficient utilization of systems according to industry standards.

• Performs many duties involving IT functions including, but not limited to, network, servers, clients, Internet, Intranet, and database administration.

• Focus on end user troubleshooting.

• Manage the queue of data integration request tickets.

• Train end users on applicable software packages.

• Escalate issues to the development team, as needed.

• Work on database/back end set up to prepare for new client use.

• Ability to communicate with non-technical users.

• Monitor and implement cloud solutions using vendor specific cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services).

• Cross-train as needed to support or back up team members.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.

• Associates degree (A.A./A.S.) / bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, MIS, or another technical field preferred.

• A minimum of three (3+) years of help-desk experience required.

• Proficiency with MySQL preferred.
