OVERVIEW:
The Field Coordinator is self-motivated and mechanically inclined; they enjoy building things with their hands and want to travel extensively to serve as problem-solving field representatives for the customer. The Field Coordinator focuses on the electrical construction portion of commercial buildings, industrial plants, utility-scale PV solar plants, and/or other renewable energy projects. This entry-level position supports the technical installation and design of electrical construction projects, while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Field Coordinators ensure customers can receive kits in sequence and install kits smoothly, and that product feedback and new ideas are routed swiftly back to internal team members to resolve issues and continuously improve means, methods, and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review project scope and design specifications
- Assist in the development of installation plans and material lists for all electrical and support infrastructure with consideration for project requirements
- Suggest innovative ideas for product improvement and new product creation throughout the field installation processes
- Participate in development of the project construction schedule
- Collaborate with field installation crew to coordinate best methods of installation
- Monitor and record equipment and labor productivity for on-site installation and excavation activities
- Monitor installation progress and report to the project team potential scheduling changes
- Assist with the identification and tracking of change request material and labor
- Coordinate technical support for installation electricians
- Conduct activity on-site in a safe manner in accordance with company safety and health policies
- Train on and perform duties in accordance with the quality management system (QMS)
- Traveling to project job sites (up to 100% working time away from office)

Field Coordinator Level I

Field Coordinator Level II
- Includes all Responsibilities and Desired Skills & Experience indicated In Level I above and the following

- Supervise and train Level I Field Coordinators
- Complete material return authorization forms and coordinate material returns to plant.
- Provide regular feedback from field to Design Team, Manufacturing Team, Logistics/Kitting Team, & Project Management Teams to promote continuous improvement and CI quality standards.
- Additional - Desired Skills & Experience
- Ability to identify and create BOM’s for change requests or design changes.
- Monitor construction progress on site and collaborate with CI project management team on product delivery updates and changes.
- Completion of Field Coordinator Training Outline
- Completion of Customer Service Training
- Completion of WECA Electrical Fundamentals (8 hours) and MREA PV101 Basic Photovoltaics (8 hours) classes.

Field Coordinator - Senior
- Includes all Responsibilities and Desired Skills & Experience indicated above in Levels I and II, and the following

- Supervise and train Level I and Level II Field Coordinators
- Provide regular construction progress updates to CI project management team and coordinate schedule forecast and product delivery updates with the customer.
- Additional - Desired Skills & Experience
- Ability to interpret DFI drawings, technical drawings, and product data sheets.
- Ability to review and interpret EOR Drawings, project scope of work documents, and design specifications.
- Ability to assist in WBS creation and Kit Delivery Schedules to meet project requirements.
- Completion of WECA Faultless Solar (32 Hours) class.
- Enrollment in NABCEP PV Associate Program.
- Additional – Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Extensive travel within the United States required.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- On-site or installation experience on electrical or construction projects is preferred.
- Design and/or engineering experience in electrical power and/or distribution systems a plus.
- Understanding of electrical materials, and construction means and methods is preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or electrical trades is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasionally required to sit for long and short periods of time.
- Regularly required to talk in order to communicate detailed, important, and accurate instructions to internal and external customers.
- Regularly required to walk for long and short distances.
- Frequently required to stand for sustained periods of time.
- Occasionally required to bend or twist at the neck and torso.
- Occasionally required to crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling.
- Occasionally required to reach forward, grab, grasp, pinching, handle material and tools using upper extremities.
- Frequently required to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25lbs.
- Required to have visual acuity with or without correction in order to inspect products before and after installation.
- Constantly required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Field Coordinator primarily operates in a construction environment, which may include commercial buildings, industrial plants, renewable energy plants, and 12kV through 230kV substations. When on-site, you will often be in remote rural locations, possibly in extreme weather conditions. Occasionally, you will operate in the office, an open and collaborative environment, where you will work both independently and with the team to ensure that project requirements are met. This position is expected to provide exceptional service to the customer, answering questions and ensuring that products are delivered and installed as expected, additionally, you are expected to spend significant time working independently to accomplish tasks.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports directly to the Field Services Manager.

LOCATION:
Construction Innovations facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:
A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range for this position is $23.85 - $34.66 per hour. The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
