The Opportunity

Lesley University’s Department of Liberal Arts & Business is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: CMATH 2140 Discrete Math SP26 In Person. Monday and Wednesday 11:10-12:25.

Course Description:

This course will introduce students to discrete mathematics and its importance in today's world, particularly for those planning to teach middle and high school mathematics. Topics include: set theory, logic, introduction to proof, combinatorics, probability, and graph theory. Additional topics include: voting methods and theory, fair division, models for population growth, and linear programming.

Qualities and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or related field (required); PhD (preferred)

  • Successful experience teaching mathematics the undergraduate level

  • Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
