ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive revenue and market share through hands-on revenue management for an assigned portfolio.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement rate and inventory maximization strategies.
  • Manage and maintain group and transient inventory thresholds.
  • Coordinate and assist in developing, monitoring, and adjusting sales and pricing strategies.
  • Prepare for and conduct weekly Revenue Management meetings.
  • Analyze market conditions, industry trends, and competitive advantages.
  • Review and generate opportunities for cross-selling hotels and relocating group business.
  • Measure and analyze DOW pattern, booking trends, pickup, no shows, and sources of business.
  • Negotiate Account Review: Evaluations coordinated by the RDRM.
  • Stay abreast of market conditions and initiate competitive analysis.
  • Initiate short and long-term revenue forecasts and generate weekly and monthly critiques.
  • Work with different departments to ensure similar goals and action plans for optimum revenue management.
  • Leadership in and contribution to weekly revenue management, marketing, and eCommerce team meetings.
  • Train, coach, and mentor the revenue management team.
  • Identify demand generators and production from key accounts.
  • Work under CDOS to drive results through effective training, coaching, leading, motivating, empowering, and following through with all revenue management strategies.
  • Assist senior leadership with market studies, evaluating and underwriting metrics of potential new build hotels, acquisitions, or repositioning of existing assets.
  • Review and implement processes, policies, and procedures at the hotel level.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, business administration, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Revenue Management position.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Innovative and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and research new domains.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with management, team members, and outside contacts under pressure.

OTHER PHYSICAL AND/OR SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General interior office environment.
  • Minimum distraction primarily from phones and brief interruptions.
  • Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Sitting for long periods of time (up to four hours).
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to regional locations.
  • Travel required: Typically, between properties.
  • Traveling by vehicle or air to various locations, conferences, etc.
