| Job Summary | The Department of History and the Program in Jewish Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in Post World War II European History to begin August 1, 2026. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The initial distribution of effort will be 90% instruction, and 10% service. The successful candidate will have expertise in Jewish, Holocaust, Refugee, and Italian history. We are particularly interested in candidates who are prepared to teach a range of undergraduate courses on topics such as Modern Europe survey, Jewish History and Thought, History of the Holocaust, War and Society, histories of refugees and migration, and modern Italy. A PhD in History or related field is required.
