Position Overview
Eurasia Group’s Global Macro team is seeking an intern to support our work, focusing on the intersection of global macroeconomics and politics. This internship will provide opportunities to learn about and analyze political risk, and how it impacts the global economy and financial markets. Applicants should be students at an academic institution.
Responsibilities
- The intern will have the opportunity to be involved in the production of and analysis for Eurasia group's flagship daily publication, The Daily Brief.
- Researching, writing, and presenting analysis on geopolitical developments
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to deliver client-focused insights and conclusions
Qualifications:
- must be enrolled in an academic institution, studying an Economics-related degree
- have strong analytical skills and ability to provide clear and succinct written assessments
- ability to produce multiple pieces of research and analysis under tight deadlines
- possess intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a team oriented mindset
- Have experience with excel and creating charts to visualize data
- some form of economics background, and/or familiarity with global financial markets, is a plus
- programming skills is a plus
- full business proficiency in the English language; additional language skills are a plus
- Must be able to work from the Washington DC office 3 days per week
- Must be available during the full duration of the program

Compensation
- $18.40 per hour
