HOUSEKEEPER/TRANSPORTER at Saint Bernards Medical Center – JONESBORO, Arkansas

Principal duties involve cleaning and disinfecting all areas including: patient rooms, utility rooms, ancillary areas, public areas, restrooms and offices; trash removal and proper disposal of infectious and non-infections waste; daily floor care maintenance including: dust and wet mopping, vacuuming; wall washing; high and low dusting; furniture, blind and window cleaning. Responsible for transporting patients to and from their room to various departments for testing and procedures. Performs a wide range of duties including: coordinating physical bed placement, gathering and cleaning equipment daily, maintaining equipment upkeep with the assistance of bio-med and keeping hallways free and clear of equipment clutter. Helps to prepare the department for procedures, responsible for maintaining, evaluating, and general repair of the department equipment. Must communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, department managers. The transporter equipment tech promotes good public relations for the units, nursing division, and medical center organization. Performs various duties and assists in the care of the patient as assigned by the Director or Manager.
