About This Position

SPC Coordinator

Responsible for monitoring and improving quality control processes in a manufacturing environment using statistical methods. The role focuses on data analysis, training personnel in quality tools, and ensuring products meet quality standards to reduce defects and optimize efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Statistical Analysis: Prepare, update, and maintain statistical files and databases. Conduct statistical evaluations of new and existing equipment to determine process capability and performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor real-time manufacturing data to identify trends and process variances. Implement quality control measures and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100), and customer specifications.
  • Training & Support: Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and engineering personnel in the application of statistical methods, problem-solving techniques, and the use of SPC software.
  • Process Improvement: Assist with the development of suitable Statistical Process Control methods. Lead or support Six Sigma and Lean Process Improvement teams.
  • Coordination & Communication: Act as a liaison between different teams (production, quality, management, and external customers/suppliers) to ensure effective collaboration and communication regarding process improvements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of test results, defects, and other key metrics. Generate reports on plant performance, project plans, and daily activities for management and stakeholders.
  • Gauge Management: Monitor and maintain Measurement System Analysis (MSA) gauges, including conducting Gauge R&R, stability, and accuracy studies, and supporting calibration programs.

Job Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SPC software tools (e.g., NWA, JMP) and data collection systems.
  • Familiarity with quality management standards (ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills for training and collaboration.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Leadership and mentorship capabilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or extensive relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in quality management, statistical analysis, and process improvement
  • Six Sigma or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certifications strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to access all production areas of NHBB facilities.
