About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY |
Monitors production of products to assure that all products manufactured meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels by following work instructions, test procedures and approved samples. Stops production if product deviates from acceptable quality level and assists in finding root cause to determine appropriate steps going forward. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Primary accountability for specific functions and results) |
2. Comprehends job instructions, internal drawings, Customer Prints and follows given test procedures. 3. Report quality issues during floor inspections and testing procedures to area managers. 4. Shuts down production when necessary. 5. Maintains and completes thorough record keeping. 6. Evaluates test specimens and runs necessary equipment for all lab testing. 7. Assists in resolving quality issues on raw materials, work-in-process, Imports and finished goods where warranted. 8. Works with other Quality team associates on stock checks, floor checks, sorting raw materials, Imports and finished goods where warranted. 9. Calibrates items listed on internal calibration schedule and sends out gages and instruments for outside calibration if tasked. 10. Aids other departments as needed or requested. 11. Completes Dimensional Layouts and First Article Inspections when required 12. Works with Sales, PD and Production to establish appropriate test and work instructions for specific products when requested 13. Crossed train with Quality Manager to assume duties during time of absence/vacation. 14. Works weekends, shift changes (split or 2nd) when necessary. 15. Practices 6S principles |

2. Works/trains in other areas/departments as business dictates. 3. Able to flex schedule for 1st and 2nd shift when required. |

POSITION REQUIREMENTS | |
To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have: | |
Education: (minimum required) | High School or equivalent preferred. |
Experience: (minimum required) | Preferred manufacturing and quality experience. |
Licenses/Certifications: (minimum required) | N/A |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (minimum required): | |
1. Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment. 2. Must be a TEAM player. 3. Good communication skills, written and verbal. 4. Read and understand production jobs, drawings and record keeping requirements. 5. Organized, responsible, punctual and self-disciplined. 6. Highly self-motivated. 7. Working knowledge of hand tools, test gauges and tensile tester. 8. Good math and reading skills. 9. Computer knowledge. Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.). 10. Ability to maintain accurate records. 11. Follow oral and written instructions. 12. Ability to make decisions and solve minor problems independently. | |

1st Shift:
Monday-Thursday
6:00am to 4:00pm
2nd shift:
Monday-Thursday
4:00pm to 2:00am
