Accountant at Distro – Chihuahua, Baja California

About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and assist the team with daily accounting tasks. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Record and categorize daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, payments) to ensure general ledger accuracy.

Perform monthly bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.

Manage Accounts Payable (bill payments) and Accounts Receivable (invoicing and collections) promptly.

Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account analysis.

Support preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) and ad-hoc management reports.

Assist with payroll processing and record payroll journals.

Support preparation of data for tax filings and external audits.

Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.

Minimum 2 years experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.

Proficient in accounting software; QuickBooks Online preferred.

Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Good organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.

Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Experience with U.S.-based clients or companies is a plus.
