Position Summary:The SPS Commerce Finance team is hiring a Finance Operations & Planning Intern to support FP&A initiatives focused on budgeting, documentation, and finance process work. In this role, you’ll help the team prepare for budgeting cycles, support operational finance activities, and contribute to process improvement efforts.This internship is designed for students interested in finance operations, planning, and how financial processes work within a growing SaaS organization. You’ll collaborate with Finance partners across the business and gain hands-on experience supporting core FP&A activities.
What You’ll Learn and Do
As a Finance Operations & Planning Intern, you’ll support the FP&A team with budgeting, documentation, and finance process work. Throughout the internship, you will:
•Assist with pre-budget preparation, including cost center review and documentation
•Support finance process documentation and standardization efforts
•Help with transition activities related to moving from a legacy ERP to a new ERP system
•Learn how financial planning and budgeting processes operate within a SaaS organization
•Partner with Finance team members to support analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects
•Present a summary of your work or project outcomes to Finance leadership

Required Qualifications
•Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related business field
•Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
•Availability to work 40 hours per week during the internship
Preferred Qualifications
•Major or coursework in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field
•Students entering their final year of study (“rising seniors”)
•Interest in financial planning, budgeting, or finance operations
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Comfort working with Excel and financial data
