💲 Pay Range: $21.00–$22.26 per hour

✨ The Opportunity
As a Program Associate, you’ll be a key member of an interdisciplinary team providing hands-on support across N Street Village programs, including day services, low-barrier shelter, temporary shelter, and permanent supportive housing.
This role is ideal for someone compassionate, steady under pressure, and motivated by mission-driven work.
🛠️ What You’ll Do- Build positive, respectful relationships with clients through routine engagement
- Assist with program setup and close-down (meals, toiletries, laundry, showers, activities)
- Serve meals and support daily program operations
- Conduct program intakes and initial health & wellness screenings
- Respond to immediate client needs and help de-escalate crises
- Enforce program rules with consistency and care
- Complete required documentation (daily activity logs, monthly reports, incident reports)
- Support care coordination tasks, including referrals and residency forms
- Collaborate with volunteers and partner agencies
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and program quality improvement efforts
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of direct social services experience OR
- High school diploma/equivalent + 2 years of direct social services experience OR
- Must be able to pass drug screening within 48hr of extended offer and all Background screenings before start date
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with DC’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
- Strong alignment with inclusive, equity-driven values
- Experience with or willingness to learn data visualization tools
- Strong cultural competence and interpersonal communication
- Crisis management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
- Flexible, responsive, and dependable
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
