Location: Richmond, IN (onsite)
Reports to: Director, HR Business Partner
Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across core HR processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely execution throughout the employee lifecycle. This role supports the Director, HR Business Partner and the broader HR team by managing day-to-day HR administration, coordinating recruiting and onboarding activities, maintaining HR data, and serving as a first point of contact for routine employee inquiries.
This position is based full-time at our Richmond, IN facility and plays a key role in supporting employees and leaders through reliable HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Hiring Support
Coordinate recruiting logistics, including completing initial screenings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and supporting hiring managers throughout the interview process.
Prepare offer letters using approved templates and initiate background screenings.
Track candidate progress and maintain accurate recruiting records. Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire documentation, system entry, orientation scheduling, and pre-employment requirements.
Ensure timely completion of I-9s and E-Verify in compliance with federal requirements.
Coordinate offboarding activities with the HR Business Partner and HR Operations Specialist to ensure accurate documentation and system updates. HR Administration & Data Management
Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS (Paychex preferred).
Support HRIS data entry, audits, and data integrity efforts.
Maintain employee personnel files in accordance with company and legal requirements.
Training & Compliance Coordination
Track and coordinate required HR and safety training.
Support compliance-related reporting, audits, and recordkeeping.
Payroll, Benefits & Leave Support
Provide administrative support for payroll processing as the backup resource.
Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment preparation.
Support the HR Operations Specialist in leave administration as needed. Employee Support & HR Team Assistance
Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions, escalating issues as appropriate.
Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Assist with preparation of reports and documentation as needed.
Experience and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
13 years of administrative or HR-related experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience with HRIS systems preferred; Paychex experience a plus.
Travel Requirements
Minimal travel; occasional travel may be required for HR initiatives or peak periods.
