Role Overview
The Marketing Manager is a hands-on execution leader responsible for new store opening marketing, brand activations, and core marketing collateral across multiple restaurant concepts. This role owns the build and delivery of opening campaigns, promotional materials, local activations, and in-store marketing assets ensuring every launch and campaign is accurate, on-brand, and operationally ready.
This is a tactical marketing role focused on copy, campaign mechanics, collateral, and launch execution not social media management. The Marketing Manager turns marketing plans into real, usable materials and campaigns that drive traffic and support store performance.
Success in this role requires strong copywriting ability, high attention to detail, strong project ownership, and comfort managing multiple openings and campaigns at once.
Core ResponsibilitiesLead marketing execution for new store openings across multiple brands and locations
Build and execute opening marketing plans including offers, launch campaigns, local promotions, and activation tactics
Write and finalize copy for opening campaigns, promotional offers, email communications, signage, and customer-facing materials
Coordinate and produce core marketing collateral including menus, flyers, in-store signage, direct mail, and promotional assets
Manage opening timelines and marketing checklists to ensure launch readiness
Partner closely with Operations and store leadership to align marketing plans with operational reality
Coordinate grand opening activations, community events, and traffic-driving promotions
Develop and execute local store marketing programs and neighborhood outreach efforts
Build and execute email and promotional campaigns tied to openings and activations
Ensure all offers, disclaimers, dates, and pricing language are accurate and approved before release
Manage vendor coordination for print, signage, promotional items, and distribution
Maintain template libraries and standardized collateral formats across brands
Support sponsorships and community partnership activations
Attend and support grand openings and major brand events
Assist with field marketing needs and store-level requests
Create repeatable playbooks and templates for future openings
Strong promotional and campaign copywriting skills
Excellent detail management and proofreading discipline
Strong collateral development and print asset coordination experience
Ability to manage multiple openings and campaigns simultaneously
Practical project management and deadline control
Experience with email campaign build and execution
Working knowledge of paid search campaign copy and setup
Vendor coordination and print production familiarity
Operationally minded understands store execution realities
Comfortable working in fast-moving, less structured environments
Self-directed and execution-focused
Experience: 35+ years in marketing execution, retail/restaurant marketing, field marketing, or opening/activation marketing roles; multi-unit experience strongly preferred
Education: Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred but not required with relevant experience
