About This Position
Oneida Professional Services is seeking an experienced Multimedia Programmer IV with advanced technical, programming, and AI-driven multimedia development expertise to support the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE). This role integrates media, programs interactive applications, ensures compliance across platforms, and leverages AI technologies to enhance medical training for Army personnel.
The Multimedia Programmer IV will support all phases of training product development and implementation, provide advanced programming capability, and ensure seamless operation across diverse computing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate multimedia components into synchronous and asynchronous training products using approved tools (Captivate, Articulate, Rise, Storyline, etc.).
- Leverage artificial intelligence technologies to enhance interactivity, adaptiveness, and engagement within medical training applications.
- Modify, test, and program training products using government-approved multimedia applications.
- Provide programming support across the project development life cycle for courseware and multimedia products.
- Implement training applications on multiple platforms and equipment configurations.
- Design and modify code for interactive multimedia instruction optimized for various environments (low-bandwidth, high-bandwidth, networked classrooms).
- Serve as a technical SME in selecting appropriate software tools, including AI-powered learning systems, to meet complex learner needs.
- Perform 508 compliance verification, SCORM compliance (ADL Test Suite), operability/playability troubleshooting, and hosting system compatibility testing.
- Apply functional programming knowledge (Java, HTML, XML) to support training system design and performance.
- Provide support for SCORM implementation, LMS interoperability, and technical maintenance of courseware.
- Establish, maintain, and track all files, documents, records, and correspondence related to training product development.
- Manage logistics for delivery of training materials, files, and equipment.
- Support testing, certification, and maintenance processes for a wide variety of training products.
- Process large volumes of data, perform reduction and editing, and conduct research to support training content requirements.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, media specialists, programmers, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure quality, accuracy, and functional performance.
- Provide subject matter expertise on tool selection, AI integration, multimedia programming, and technical problem-solving.
- Ensure all diagrams, graphics, and technical documentation support instructional requirements clearly, accurately, and logically.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree, industry certification, or 10+ years of relevant programming and multimedia experience.
- Experience working independently on high-visibility or mission-critical projects.
- Ability to oversee or guide junior staff on assigned tasks.
- Experience programming SCORM-conformant content packages (3rd and 4th editions).
- Expertise in multimedia and interactive content development.
- Experience with AI technologies such as natural language processing, machine learning, and/or adaptive learning systems applied to medical training (highly desirable).
- Proficiency with:
- Adobe Captivate
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise)
- HTML, XML, Java
- Video and audio editing tools
- Ability to ensure LMS interoperability and technical maintenance of courseware.
- Experience developing AI-powered adaptive learning systems is highly desirable.
