Accountabilities:- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers, partners, and industry leaders to gather market intelligence and identify emerging opportunities
- Partner with internal leadership and cross-functional teams to shape and prioritize new business initiatives and solution areas
- Serve as a subject matter expert on new markets, providing insights into market dynamics, customer needs, and success factors
- Validate business concepts by assessing product-market fit, commercial potential, and go-to-market alignment, independently or collaboratively with internal teams
- Define market and functional requirements for new opportunities in partnership with Product and Marketing teams
- Build and manage an early-stage pipeline of opportunities, leveraging your network to secure pilot customers and strategic partnerships
- Coordinate pilot projects for new initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market needs
- Act as a trusted advisor and ambassador, inspiring confidence among internal teams, customers, and partners
Requirements:
- Proven experience driving business development and growth initiatives in B2B or SaaS environments, preferably in energy, technology, or related sectors
- Strong knowledge of grid, utility markets, or distributed energy resources such as EE, DR, storage, and EV technologies
- Demonstrated ability to assess product fit and qualify new business opportunities
- Track record of creating and executing customer engagement strategies, including RFIs, RFPs, and pilot programs
- Strong negotiation, risk management, and deal-closing skills
- Excellent networking, communication, and relationship-building abilities across technical and executive stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity in high-growth or pre-revenue contexts
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel, prioritizing strategically and executing effectively
- Strategic vision to connect external trends with internal product and business opportunities
