Accountabilities:

Conduct in-depth analyses of user and transaction-level data to optimize payments, reduce fraud, and improve authorization rates.
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to enable self-service analytics across teams.
Investigate anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and support incident response for payments and fraud issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and other teams to define project scope, deliver insights, and improve systems.
Support development and testing of payment and fraud rules, analyzing A/B test results and measuring impact on key metrics.
Advocate for data quality, governance, and analytics best practices to ensure reliability, consistency, and security of data assets.
Mentor junior analysts and interns, fostering growth of the analytics community and knowledge-sharing across the organization.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in data or analytics roles.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, including production-ready queries, data modeling, and analytics workflows.
Experience with modern data warehouses and transformation tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt) and at least one BI/dashboarding platform (e.g., Looker, Amplitude, Tableau).
Proven ability to own ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end: scoping questions, defining success metrics, validating data quality, and iterating based on stakeholder feedback.
Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, able to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally, prioritize competing requests, and align stakeholders on decisions and trade-offs.
High degree of ownership and urgency, comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Experience working with messy, event-level product data across web and mobile, tracing end-to-end user journeys, and debugging data quality issues.
