Temp Engineering Tech- Northlake, IL at BlockForce Talent – Northlake, Illinois

Job Overview: Our Northlake manufacturing site utilizes AGV's (Automated Guided Vehicles or Forklifts). We are looking for some entry level temporaries that can support these AGV's on the shifts mentioned above. We will train all the activities that the person will have to do but here is some of the experience and attributes we would like them to have:

• Computer proficiency.
• High attention to Detail, (for example, someone who notices repeated issues or patterns).
• Experience in an industrial setting (warehouse or S&R may be ideal as this is where these AGV's are used). The reason is so they are aware of safety and general warehouse protocols. If someone has worked in a company that has used these AGV's, that would be a huge plus but not necessary.
• Technically inclined – so maybe the person does robotic car competitions, could be a college student in a STEM field that has maybe interned in a manufacturing setting that might have the mindset for that.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of machine safety.
• Could look for college students looking for extra cash on off shift hours.
• Will be on their feet most of the day.

• Supervise Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) activity by utilizing multiple monitoring tools given to ensure that warehouse material is continually moving as the AGV system is being called for.
• Be prepared for ups and downs in site activity, which affects current use of AGVs.
• Utilize downtime to perform needed AGV related housekeeping tasks; such as sensor cleaning and periodic physical inspection of machines.
• Report areas of repeated environmentally caused AGV faults to automation engineers to work on fixing.
