At Campus Commons Pet Hospital, we’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude are at the heart of everything we do.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts, flexible between 7am-5pm

We’re a busy, general practice hospital providing high-quality care to a loyal community of pet parents. Our medical team, led by Dr. Krista Prato Matthews and supported by our Hospital Manager, Keshia, combines over seven years of ER and advanced GP experience.

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians and RVTs with exams, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures
• Prepare patients for appointments, including histories and vital signs as appropriate
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized pets, including monitoring comfort and cleanliness
• Safely handle and restrain animals of varying sizes and temperaments
• Support lab work, including sample collection and processing
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, instruments, and equipment
• Communicate professionally with pet owners and provide basic care instructions as directed
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information
• Work collaboratively with the hospital team to support efficient daily operations and a positive client experience

About You

• 1+ years of Veterinary Assistant or Technician experience
• Calm, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly, compassionate, and professional communicator
• Basic computer skills; veterinary software experience is a plus
• Veterinary certifications are a plus
