Foreclosure Paralegal at Howard Law – Boca Raton, Florida

The Foreclosure Paralegal at Howard Law provides essential support to attorneys handling foreclosure matters, ensuring clients receive efficient, detail-oriented service. This role involves managing foreclosure cases from start to finish, preparing accurate legal documents, and maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. The paralegal will work closely with attorneys, clients, courts, and outside vendors to keep cases moving forward smoothly.

• Manage foreclosure cases from initial referral through foreclosure sale.
• Draft and prepare foreclosure documents, including Motions for Summary Final Judgment, Affidavit of Indebtedness (AOI), Affidavit of Fees and Costs, and Affidavit of Reasonable Attorney Fees.
• Prepare Final Judgment packages, including Proposed Final Judgment, Notice of Sale, Cert of Sale, Certificate of Title, and Certificate of Disbursement.
• Request and follow up on executed AOIs and judgment figures.
• Schedule hearings and maintain case calendars and deadlines.
• Conduct SCRA and PACER searches.
• Prepare and process discovery requests and responses.
• Maintain updates in CMS's, including Case Aware, LPS/MSP, Tempo, Noteflow Complete Legal Tracker updates, and budget entries.
• Submit fee requests and obtain approvals.
• Process pleadings, legal documents, and mail.
• Correspond with clients, court staff, and opposing parties.
• Assist with foreclosure sales, evictions, and real estate transactions.
• Assist with onboarding and processing of transfer files.
• Support attorneys with client reporting and internal reporting.
• Assist with audits, compliance training, and firm procedures.
• Notarize documents as needed.
• Handle inbound phone calls as scheduled.
• Perform other administrative and legal support tasks as needed.

• Experience as a Foreclosure Paralegal, Default Servicing Paralegal, or Legal Assistant.
• Knowledge of mortgage foreclosure processes and real estate foreclosure procedures.
• Strong skills in case management, legal document preparation, and deadline tracking.
• Familiarity with PACER and SCRA searches.
• Experience with foreclosure CMS's preferred (Case Aware, LPS, Tempo, Noteflow).
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple foreclosure files simultaneously.
