As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our distribution center—coordinating shipments, solving problems in real time, and ensuring every load leaves accurately and on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee coordination of outbound freight schedules (live vs. drop trailer) to meet customer and carrier timelines.
- Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with system records.
- Work across BlueGrace, Acumatica or other WMS/ERP platforms to build orders, update records, and track shipments.
- Manage routing requests, carrier instructions, and internal communications with the shipping and inventory teams.
- Monitor and flag logistics risks or bottlenecks, escalate issues to DC Operations Manager as needed.
- Track and validate freight charges, assist with resolution of discrepancies or claims.
- Maintain daily shipment logs, freight manifests, and support audits or KPI reporting.
- Work closely with loaders, processors, and material handlers to ensure smooth trailer loading and pick accuracy.
- Participate in weekly planning or continuous improvement initiatives for logistics flow.
- Maintain compliance with all OSHA and company-specific safety standards in the logistics office and warehouse floor.

Work Environment
This role operates between the warehouse office and floor. It may involve occasional exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, open-dock doors, and variable warehouse temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and steel-toed footwear, is required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift items up to 50 lbs., and operate office and warehouse equipment as needed. Requires clear verbal communication, reading shipment documents, and working at a computer for extended periods.
Schedule
This is a full-time position on first shift, generally from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours may flex slightly based on freight schedules or seasonal demands. Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekends during peak demand periods is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
- Proficient with shipping software and inventory systems.
- Forklift operation skills.
- Strong organizational and customer service mindset.
- Ability to read and write English fluently.
- Able to measure and enter shipping data into system.
- Prior warehouse experience.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred: Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or RF scanner.
