Escalation Engineer

This is a highly technical, customer-impacting role where you will act as the final escalation point for complex system and product issues. You will work at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and operations to troubleshoot critical problems and deliver timely, effective solutions. The position offers the opportunity to dive deep into modern cloud-native architectures, security platforms, and distributed systems. You will play a key role in maintaining customer trust by resolving high-priority incidents and improving system reliability. Collaboration is central, as you will partner with cross-functional teams to address root causes and enhance product performance. Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues originating from customers and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze logs, system performance, and code to identify root causes and deliver solutions
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to propose fixes, patches, or temporary workarounds for critical issues
  • Take full ownership of escalations, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Build automation tools and scripts to improve troubleshooting efficiency and team productivity
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to understand use cases and effectively communicate technical solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term fixes
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve high-impact technical challenges in cloud-native and distributed environments
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in escalation engineering, technical support (Tier-3/4), or similar roles
  • Strong background in software and systems engineering, with proven troubleshooting and debugging expertise
  • Solid networking knowledge, including hands-on experience with common protocols
  • Experience with Linux system administration, including performance tuning and network analysis
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with automation or scripting (e.g., Python or similar languages)
  • Understanding of security principles and architectures is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and customers
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage high-pressure situations professionally
