You will architect and deploy generative AI and large language model solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, platform engineers, product owners, and DevOps. You will provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to the strategic direction of AI initiatives. The position demands a combination of hands-on AI engineering, system design, and strategic influence across multiple projects and distributed teams. • Design, develop, and implement AI and ML platforms, including pipelines for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation
• Deploy and maintain state-of-the-art GenAI models, language modeling technologies, and AI agents to enhance product capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI solutions that improve user productivity, system performance, and operational efficiency
• Mentor and coach engineers, ensuring adherence to software architecture strategy, coding standards, and best practices
• Drive strategic AI initiatives, providing technical leadership for multiple teams and supporting future growth opportunities
• Build scalable, reliable backend systems, logging, telemetry, and evaluation frameworks for AI and ML solutions
• Contribute to process improvements, Agile/Scrum optimization, and innovation across AI projects and engineering teams

Requirements:

• 7–10 years of experience in software engineering or related disciplines, including 3–5 years in ML/AI engineering within high-growth or research environments
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks and related Data+AI engineering technologies
• Strong expertise in generative AI, large language models, embedding techniques, RAG workflows, SQL Agents, MCP, and Agentic AI systems
• Proficiency in Python and TensorFlow/PyTorch, with experience in scalable ML/AI system architecture
• Experience designing distributed, scalable systems for medium to large-scale data processing (10s–100s of TBs)
• Proven track record of leading AI/engineering projects, mentoring teams, and delivering production-grade systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with software engineering principles, testing, code reviews, deployment, and Agile methodologies
• Preferred: exposure to Snowflake, FHIR, or healthcare data environments
