Electrical Technician at Jaxon Engineering and Maintenance – Colorado Springs, Colorado

Jaxon Engineering is looking for a full-time Electrical Technician to work at its headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour - plus per diem pay while traveling

Dept of Defense Security Clearance – Must be able to provide or obtain a Secret Clearance, an active Dept. of Defense Secret/Top Secret clearance a strong plus

Required Travel: No travel needed immediately, but domestic and international travel schedule likely in the future. Candidates must hold or have the ability to obtain a valid passport.

Primary Duties:

• Perform a blend of electrician/electronics technician tasks
• Bend and install conduit, effectively use wide range of hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as forklift and scissor lift safely.
• Run, terminate, and connect conductors ranging from around 26 AWG up to 750MCM
  • Ribbon Cables
  • THHN
  • Coax/RF cables
• Mount electrical equipment.
• Soldering experience a plus.
• Read and comprehend drawings, manuals, and diagrams
• Follow drawings and assembly instructions to assemble electronic equipment and electrical power equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks and test final products for proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic circuits.
• Collaborate with leads, engineers, and other professionals on technical tasks
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress and inventory

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to work from electrical schematics and/or mechanical drawings, work independently and complete tasks on schedule
• Experience in basic electrical/electronic circuit troubleshooting and mechanical assembly and disassembly
• Proficient with MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize ladders or step stools to reach heights of approximately 6 feet.
• Possess a valid driver's license

Education & Experience:

• HS diploma or equivalent; electrical trade school
• IPC-WHMA-620 certifications a plus
• Experience in-Conduit bending, wire pulling, electrical equipment mounting/setting, mechanical assembly/disassembly, Soldering, using a wide variety of hand and power tools, using multimeters, and basic electrical/electronic circuit troubleshooting
