About This Position
GA Foods is seeking to hire an experienced Over the Road Driver to support long distance transportation of meals, supplies, and equipment across multiple states. This role is responsible for safe, timely, and compliant deliveries while operating commercial tractor trailer equipment.

Responsibilities.
• Operate Class A CDL tractor trailer vehicles for long distance, multi state routes.
• Transport products between GA Foods facilities and customer locations across regional and national routes.
• Remain on the road for extended periods, including overnight and multi day trips.
• Load and unload product using pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
• Ensure proper securement and temperature control of food products.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs and comply with Hours of Service regulations.
• Perform pre trip and post trip inspections and complete DVIR documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, customer service, and supervisors regarding deliveries and route updates.
• Maintain driver scorecard and required documentation.
• Report any issues or delays promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep.
• Attend all required company trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Valid Class A CDL License.
• No DUI in the last 5 years, 0 to 4 current points.
• Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and Clearinghouse verification.
• Minimum 2 years of over the road or long haul driving experience preferred.
• Experience operating tractor trailer equipment required.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for logs and route tracking.

Work Environment
- Work is performed outdoors and inside a vehicle
- Regular exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
- This position follows a standard weekly schedule, however, weekend work may be required based on business needs.
