Pay Range: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Fabrication Operator to support production within a structural steel manufacturing environment. This role involves operating and setting up CNC equipment used to cut and process steel components while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency throughout the production process.
- Set up and run CNC equipment including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines for structural steel processing
- Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders to understand job requirements
- Safely load and position materials such as steel beams and plates using overhead cranes and rigging equipment
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and precision
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares
- Make minor program edits or adjustments based on material type, size, or thickness
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting machine issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area in line with OSHA standards
- High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical training is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools
- Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting

- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs
