Position Summary:
The Reverse Logistics Specialist receives and processes high volume of product returns within established policies and procedures of an FDA-regulated medical device company. This position exercises solid judgment in the inspection of all returned product to determine whether it is fit for sale/return to stock or must be scrapped. Responsibilities include documenting, processing, and performing tasks regarding credits, discounts, freight charges, reconciliations, and credit balance reports. This position may involve handling of human tissue products.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Manages transactions of purchase returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Performs inspection of all proposed returns and authorizes the issuance of credit/return as defined by company policy.
• Utilizes CRM to document activities and interactions (phone, letter, fax, email, etc.).
• Analyzes credits, discounts, and all credit conditions to ensure accuracy.
• Employs SAP to track and validate products by the customer, article number, and lot number.
• Escalates out-of-policy returns for approval in accordance with established guidelines.
• Communicates all open issues with sales representative and/or Customer Service Manager.
• Addresses customer concerns via the returns telephone queue and department email inbox.
• Works closely with other departments on credit and rebills, customer consignments, RFID tags, customer complaints, expiry products, financing orders, and digital equipment.
• Inspects and reconciles quantities returned with that of the return’s forms and documents.
• Monitors trends and other issues which may need escalation and/or improvement.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, Education, and department staff as needed.
• Provides feedback to management regarding quality issues related to incoming deliveries (packaging, etc.).
• Follows all Straumann and OSHA safety guidelines and report any safety issues to the manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
Physical Attributes:
• Stand or walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Bend, squat, and reach to retrieve product.
• Utilize dexterity abilities to handle inventory, operate machinery, type on a computer, and perform tasks such as packing, unpacking, and sorting items.
• Spend significant time reading both on paper and on a computer.
Work Environment:
• General warehouse environment.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1+ years prior returns, logistics, or customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with CRM, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
• Basic customer service knowledge, phone and communication skills, and business math skills.
• Ability to thrive in high paced, time-sensitive, team environment
• A strong record of reliability is essential
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Team player with good written and oral communications skills
• Attention to detail and exceptional work ethic.
Salary: $22.00 - $24.00/Annually. The final pay for this position will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to what the company reasonably anticipates for this position.
